A DAY IN THE LIFE:

The Sr Business Systems QA I works with our IT Business Analysts and Developers, designing, running, and evaluating test plans to improve the usability of Tandem’s business applications including Microsoft Dynamics 365 CE (CRM), and Dynamics 365 FO (ERP). Additionally, the Sr Business Systems QA I will test newly created and updated reports and integrations between the two primary applications. The role will provide feedback not only on positive path confirmation but also identifying bugs in either software code or process, noting any deviation from the initial requirements/user stories, and working with Analysts/Developers/Users to determine what corrections are needed.

  • Reviews user stories, use cases, and requirements with Business Analysts to plan validity and feasibility testing.
  • Work with Developers to plan and document technical testing requirements.
  • Develops and coordinates testing of solutions to ensure they meet requirements before deployment.
  • Designs test scripts beyond happy path, including regression testing, negative result testing, and automated testing as applicable.
  • Performs testing that may include review of code, application process, integrations (incoming and outgoing), report or form generation, and other various projects as needed.
  • Tests in multiple developmental and live environments.
  • Pre-deployment regression testing across multiple environments and applications.
  • Collaborates closely with other departments to coordinate User Acceptance Testing.
  • Reviews documentation to confirm tests, requirements, and procedural documentation are consistent and that the new functionality is ready for deployment.
  • Analyzes test results and report back to project owner.
  • Creates JIRA tickets for any bugs or process discrepancies found during testing.
  • Finds opportunities to improve our Quality Assurance practices internally.
  • Works with the Business Analysts and Developers to investigate and resolve problems.
  • Ensures compliance with company policies, including Privacy/HIPAA, and other legal and regulatory requirements.

YOU’RE AWESOME AT:

  • Two year degree or applicable certification specific to software quality assurance
  • 6 years of experience testing solutions for business applications or equivalent software application/technical support experience
  • Strong functional knowledge of standard ERP/CRM functions and tools
  • Ability to read and understand technical manuals, procedural documentation, and OEM guides
  • Prior software application implementation, development, or analysis experience a plus
  • Functional understanding of business processes around areas of Sales, Finance, Distribution, Inventory Management, or Manufacturing Operations
  • Experience working with integrations to and from business applications using variety of tools (ex: IPaaS (Boomi), SFTP, API, other)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; strong presentations skills a plus.
  • Experience with one or more of the following is highly desirable: medical device companies; insurance billing; international sales and distribution
  • Proficient time management and communication skills
  • Adaptability to manage changes effectively and efficiently
  • Experience working in a scrum/agile development environment
  • Experience working with applications in a fully SaaS cloud ecosystem

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:

The starting base pay range for this position is $90K - $120K annually. Base pay will vary based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and may also fluctuate depending on candidate’s location and the overall job market. In addition to base pay, Tandem offers a competitive compensation package that includes bonus, equity, and a robust benefits package.
