Purpose of the position
Inside Sales position selling equipment for manufacturer in a Business to Business environment. Embody Core Purpose to “Win Together to Exceed Customer Expectations”
Main tasks and responsibilities
Quotes prices and accurately prepares sales order for processing
Estimates date of delivery to customer, based on knowledge of WALTCO's production and delivery schedules
Receives incoming calls including but not exclusive to gate orders, warranty questions, quotes, distributor information, and traffic/freight
Builds relationships by responding to questions, problems, and needs of customers within assigned territory
Proactive account management, increase customer service ratings within assigned territory
Works closely with factory to monitor & manage customer orders
Carries out responsibilities and duties in a consistent, mature, ethical, and professional manner at all times
Support Outside Sales Team by being easy to work with, and following a customer need all the way through to satisfaction
Working knowledge of business related computer systems, pc skills, including Google Docs, Windows, Microsoft Office, and Internet
Performs order audits against Concept and SAP to verify accuracy
Any other tasks that Sales Support Manager deems necessary for the position
What you’ll need to succeed
Education:
High School diploma or equivalent required
Associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school
Working experience:
Six months to one year of related experience and/or training
Skills and competencies:
Organized, detail-oriented with the ability to multitask, prioritize, and respond quickly
Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication
Strong desire to learn & grow/ask good questions
Humility to admit mistakes and accept coaching
Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or governmental regulations
Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
Skills to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public
Knowledge to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, & percentages
Understanding to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry
Persistence to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
