High school graduate or equivalent and meets the requirements of ANSI standard 3.1, 1978.
Must have three (3) years service experience on industrial HVAC equipment.
Completed an approved refrigeration and air conditioning service training program or equivalent.
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, procedures, plant drawings and diagrams.
Ability to work over time, weekends, and back shifts.
EEI MASS Test Administered.

Any PVNGS employee may be called upon to serve as a member of the Emergency Response Organization (ERO) and will be expected to fulfill their obligation as an ERO member.
This is a condition of employment at PVNGS.
Roles and Responsibilities defined in Policy 1503 and implementing policy guide are applicable to all PVNGS employees.
Any PVNGS employee may be called upon to support a refueling or short-notice outage.
This includes line roles and responsibilities as necessary to execute outage activities.
1) Respond to emergency requests to restore plant and building equipment to an operational status in accordance with applicable plant policies and procedures.
2) Perform preventative maintenance tasks on all HVAC equipment and components to ensure system integrity and reliability.
3) Maintain, test and overhaul large tonnage centrifugal chillers required for normal and essential plant operations.
4) Test, inspect and maintain nuclear air filtration systems used to contain airborne radioactive contamination.
5) Calibrate, test and repair various temperature, pressure and flow instruments and controls used on both essential and non essential HVAC related equipment.
6) Perform necessary corrective maintenance.
7) Test and overhaul large capacity vane axial and backward incline fans required for normal and essential plant operations.
8) Perform freeze seals on various sizes and types of plant piping systems to isolate components in support of maintenance and testing activities.

A test using a computer with keyboard will be administered.

This position requires work to be performed in the field and/or at the work site, due to the nature of work.
Any PVGS employee may be called upon for random Fitness For Duty Testing (FFD) during scheduled working hours. Employees must report to FFD at Palo Verde as soon as reasonably practicable, but no more than 120 minutes after being notified. Employees who are onsite when notified will have no more than 60 minutes to report after being notified.
