The Webasto Detroit Plant currently has an internal opening for SCM Team Lead (TL1) on B and C shift. This position is only posted internally and applicants who currently already work at the Webasto Detroit Plant or another Webasto location only are welcome to apply below.

You can look forard to these exciting tasks:

• conduct start of shift meetings and get attendance headcount
• Managing available manpower day by day and moving colleagues around to support all needed areas
• ability and willingness to operate a Forklift/Hilo/Tugger when needed •    train, develop and supervise colleagues
• ensure daily forklift check sheets are done •    provide leadership and direction to team members
• prepare line set-ups for next shifts •    reporting all safety related incidents
• reporting all damaged materials incidents •    monitor plant housekeeping and maintain 5S standards throughout plant
• enforce all company policies and procedures (Safety Glasses, Vest, Phone, Ear Buds)
• Interface with HR on all policy and discipline issues •    Address colleagues concerns and use people skills to resolve the issues
• Communicate with all on priority of special assignments or any issues needed.
• Monitor and maintain all safety equipment, Webasto owned equipment (fixtures, racking, forklift, and tuggers)

This is what you bring to us:

• 3+ years previous supervisory experience in an automotive/manufacturing environment preferred
• Valid drivers license and Forklift license required •    Excellent people skills required
• Excellent organization and problem-solving skills •    Ability and willingness to work long hours as necessary
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills •    Excellent time management skills

What we offer you:

• $21.50/hr starting pay
