Where You Fit

We are searching for a highly motivated Laboratory Technician to assist our Cytology Department reporting to the Laboratory Manager at the Diagnostics Division. The ideal candidate is someone who is self-motivated, organized, a team player and is excited about being a part of a fast-paced and rapidly growing company shaping the category of AI-powered pathology.  

Hours/Rate of Position:

WORKING HOURS: Tuesday - Saturday 3:00 AM - 11:30 AM | The hourly rate for this role is $14.00 to start. 

What You’ll Do

• Receive, unpack and sort GYN & Non-GYN cytology specimens and process into slides
• Assign case numbers, verify patient information with specimen jars received, line up specimens, and number requisitions
• Route specimens by type to various laboratory areas
• Resolve and document problem specimens
• Load/unload applicable slides from stainer, coverslipper, and incubator ovens
• Perform cytospins, create cell blocks, and thin prep slides for Non-Gyn and cytology specimens
• Perform maintenance and clean equipment timely and by procedure
• Stock and rotate shelves on a daily basis
• Transport finished slides to cytotechnologists
• Assist pathologist and cytotechnologist with any reprocessed or problem cases

What You Bring

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 1+ year(s) of work experience preferred
• Relevant diagnostics laboratory product knowledge is valued but not required
• Self-motivated, organized, able to multi-task in a dynamic environment
• Must have positive internal customer service attitude and be a team player
