Job Description

  • Department: Internal Engagement Team - People
  • Salary: up to £27,000 + Comprehensive benefits package.
  • Location: South based (Southampton/Bristol office) with travel expected to other Giacom office locations. min expectation of 3 days in an office.
  • Duration: Fixed Term/Secondment - 12 Months

Role Overview

Our internal engagement team is in place to make this a great place to work. Looking at constantly improving the employee experience. Creating a fantastic company culture and increasing our internal NPS score through engaging company initiatives and events and the development of our employee programmes.

As an Internal Engagement Coordinator, you will be responsible for planning and delivering our internal events and initiatives, taking a creative approach, and driving engagement across our workforce.

Working with the engagement and events manager to create and implement a plan that will deliver an ever-improving engagement strategy.

Role responsibilities:

  • Pro-actively plan and successfully deliver employee engagement events and initiatives alongside the Internal Engagement & Events Manager with a focus on high employee engagement.
  • Manage and coordinate suppliers (internal and external) and all event logistics.
  • Plan and organise events with attention to budget and time constraints.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships to establish exact event requirements and objectives.
  • Contribute to the engagement events plan for the year and input into the overall engagement strategy.
  • Manage employee engagement groups across the business to deliver increased internal engagement with a focus on company objectives.
  • Have an innovative and creative approach to increase engagement and satisfaction.
  • Effectively utilise communication channels.
  • Use engagement statistics to analyse results in order to adapt your approach to improve and increase events success.
  • Update and maintain records and processes relating to internal initiatives.
  • Use pre and post-event feedback to determine best practices for future events including researching and conducting competitive benchmarking.
  • Check internal policies, guidance, legislation, and regulations to ensure full compliance with current legal, health & safety, regulatory and company requirements.
  • Carry out any ‘ad hoc’ assignments as and when required.
  • Occasional work outside of business hours in relation to events.

Qualifications

  • Experience in delivering engaging activities and events virtually & face to face.
  • Confident in presenting at all levels across a variety of mediums.
  • Can work independently and as part of a team to deliver results.
  • Experience of managing projects through to successful completion.
  • Result orientated and motivated to deliver over target.
  • Social and engaging, with strong interpersonal skills and can build strong relationships at all levels.
  • Experience of creating engaging content in multiple ways to capture an audience.
  • Creative approach to events and programmes.
  • Ability to adapt to different activities and audiences.
  • Highly organised and ability to plan effectively within set timescales.
  • Proactive with a can-do approach.
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Flexible with the ability to respond quickly to changing needs and priorities.
  • Ability to utilise internal resources to assist in completion of objectives.
  • Excellent writing, presentation, and communication skills.
  • Knowledge and experience of Microsoft Office applications including excel in a professional environment.
