Job Description

• Department: Platform Operations.
• Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 p.a. DOE + Comprehensive benefits package.
• Location: Homebased with travel to collaborate as a team.

Role Overview

We’re growing and are looking for an Instructional Designer to join our platform design team.

We produce some best-in-class materials, which support our customers with answers to their questions, even before they know what the question is. We’re looking for someone who can empathise with the struggles of customers, and craft delightful guidance (whether that is a how-to guide, a piece of learning content, or a product feature walkthrough).

Responsibilities & Accountabilities

As an Instructional Designer you will be responsible for:

• Collaborating with subject matter experts to analyse learning needs and objectives.
• Designing and developing engaging instructional materials, including online courses, interactive modules, videos, walkthroughs, guides, etc.
• Applying instructional design principles, learning theories, and best practices to create effective learning experiences.
• Utilising multimedia tools and technologies to enhance learning content and interactivity.
• Conducting thorough quality assurance reviews to ensure the accuracy, consistency, and effectiveness of instructional materials.
• Staying abreast of emerging trends and technologies in instructional design and eLearning.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to manage projects and meet deadlines effectively.
• Evaluating the effectiveness of learning solutions through data analysis and feedback mechanisms.
• Continuously iterating and improving instructional materials based on feedback and evaluation data.

What you’ll be working on:

• Working with designers, researchers, content strategists, product owners and project managers and other team members to produce engaging content.
• Updating older content to meet new content standards.
• Establishing guidance and ensuring consistency across all content.
• Designing and developing a learning environment for our customers.
• Maintaining a calendar of project deadlines and content launch dates.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in instructional design, educational technology, instructional technology, or a related field.
• Demonstrated experience in instructional design, eLearning development, or a related field.
• Proficiency in multimedia authoring tools and eLearning development software (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, Camtasia).
• Strong portfolio showcasing previous instructional design projects and materials.
• Familiarity with learning management systems (LMS) and content management systems (CMS).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
