Do you have experience working with pupils with Additional Learning Needs? Are you looking for a rewarding Teaching Assistant Role? If so, this may be the job for you. 

We are looking for a compassionate and friendly teaching assistant to work on a 1:1 basis with a pupil in a mixed Year 3/4 class. The pupil has recently been diagnosed with Autism, so experience working with a pupil with these needs is preferable. You will be working each day 08:30 to 15:30 in a fast-paced Caerphilly based Primary School, rated by Ofsted as “Outstanding”. This role is confirmed until the end of the academic year. 

Requirements

You will be: 

• Delivering set lesson plans that have been created by the class teacher. 
• Record and track pupil progress. 
• Supporting the pupil with individual literacy and numeracy learning sessions. 

To be successful in this role, it is necessary that you have had experience working with pupils aged 3-11 for at least 3 months over the last 2 years. Experience working with pupils with Autism / ASD on a 1:1 basis would be preferable but not essential.
