Are you looking for a new role as a Teaching Assistant? Do you have experience working with pupils with Additional Learning Needs? If so, this may be the role for you. 

We are looking for compassionate and friendly teaching assistants to work on a 1:1 basis with a pupil in a KS2 class. You will be working each day 08:30 to 15:30 in a Caerphilly Primary School, just a 15-minute drive from the train station. The school has a fantastic reputation, with around 170 students on role and holding awards for its Eco School contribution.

This role is confirmed for the full academic year, beginning September 2024. 

Requirements

You will be: 

•   Creating lesson materials. 

•   Supporting the pupil with individual literacy and numeracy learning sessions. 

•   Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO.

To be successful in this role, it is necessary that you have had experience working with pupils aged 3-11 for at least 3 months over the last 2 years. Experience working with pupils with Autism / ASD on a 1:1 basis would be preferable but not essential.
