As a Character Rigger at Lighthouse Games, you will play a crucial role in bringing our game assets to life. You will work closely with the character art, animation, and technical teams to develop and implement high-quality game asset rigs that allow for animations.

Key Duties Include

• Create and maintain game asset rigs that meet technical specifications and aesthetic requirements
• Develop and implement advanced rigging techniques
• Collaborate with animators to ensure rigs are optimised for animation workflow
• Work closely with technical artists and programmers to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to rigging and animation
• Stay up to date with industry trends and advancements in rigging and animation techniques
• Contribute to the development of rigging and animation tools and pipelines
• Participate in artistic and technical reviews to ensure quality and consistency of game asset rigs

Requirements

• Proficient in Maya or other industry standard 3D software
• Strong knowledge of rigging and deformations
• Experience with technical rigging and animation
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python or MEL
• Ability to work well in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
• Passion for video games and a strong understanding of character animation principles
