Job Description: Technology Operations Director (P5) - Infrastructure Team
Role Overview: This IT Operations Director role is responsible for overseeing and managing the operational budget for the Infrastructure & Operations group, and for leading the Circuit Management function. This includes coordinating budget planning and forecasting, contract governance, RFS statements, invoice reconciliation, business performance analysis, and management of the infrastructure data circuits and associated team. The role requires a working knowledge of infrastructure components related to data centers, networks, and the systems and processes required to ensure ongoing operations on behalf of the business. This individual will need to bring a business operations mindset combined with high technical acumen, strong analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the finance team to develop and manage the infrastructure team's budget planning cycle.
- Monitor expenses, identify cost-saving opportunities, and provide analysis to support decision-making within the team.
- Ensure accurate and timely invoice reconciliation for infrastructure circuits, working closely with vendors and internal stakeholders to resolve any discrepancies.
- Lead the development of the infrastructure team's annual business plan, in alignment with the overall business objectives and strategies.
- Conduct regular analysis of the team's performance against the plan, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to develop operational forecasts
- Oversee the management of infrastructure circuits, including procurement, installation, maintenance, and upgrades.
- Conduct regular assessments to optimize the usage and capacity of infrastructure circuits, identifying opportunities for improvement or cost reduction.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as finance, operations, project management, and IT to ensure effective communication and alignment of goals.
- Liaise with finance to provide expertise and insights to support the implementation of strategic initiatives and projects.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Management, or a related field. An MBA or relevant professional certification is a plus.
- Proven experience (5-10 years) in IT business operations, IT project management, or a related field.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret financial, operational, and technical data to drive decision-making.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented and well-organized, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve operational, financial, and technical issues pertaining to infrastructure circuits.
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
