We are seeking an experienced, highly organised SEO Writer with a background in editorial search engine optimization.
This is a 12 month fixed term contract (with the potential for future opportunities) based in our London Adelphi office (hybrid).
The Role
This role will help Condé Nast brands increase their organic search traffic through content creation and refreshes. In addition to writing, you'll be expected to cross-link between relevant stories and may be required to conduct photo research.
The successful candidate will have a proven track record of editorial SEO at a publisher and the ability to quickly adapt to a brand’s voice, style and the type of experts you would interview.

The Team
This role will be part of a strong team with some of the most experienced Editors and SEOs in the industry. You will report to one of our Directors of Audience Development and closely partner with Editors and an SEO manager.
What will you be doing?
Following SEO best-practices, you’ll independently write high search volume evergreen articles and update existing articles for Conde Nast brands as needed
Work closely with our editorial, audience and SEO teams
Combine journalism and SEO to improve rankings and increase reach and visibility
Independently use our state-of-the-art toolset for all SEO content
Support content management, link architecture and the implementation of editorial SEO projects as needed
Work with key stakeholders to promote your content on social channels and newsletters
Be aware of and responsible for the performance of your content, constantly monitoring the audience data and optimising as needed
Who you are:
Degree in journalism or equivalent experience and at least 2-3 years of professional experience as an SEO writer
Collaborative and hands-on mentality
Expert knowledge of editorial search engine optimization as well as Google’s algorithms
Strong understanding of the visual and content-related demands of high-quality publishing
Speed and self-direction in writing articles comes naturally to you
You have a high affinity for data and high-quality journalism
Experience working with content management systems and audience data monitoring tools
Expertise in celebrity, entertainment, royals and pop culture topics is a plus
