This is an exciting opportunity for you to be part of the London Gas Trading Operations organization and will provide demonstrable support to the new Commercial Gas Operations Shift Team members and the wider Gas Operations team in their new roles and responsibilities.
What’s the role?
The Shift Trading Operator is part of a 24-hour shift team which is responsible for the operational management of SE-EE (Shell Energy Europe & Environmental) gas activities in Europe and UK.
This position is for a role within the Shift Trading Operations Team. The team manages the optimisation of the gas portfolio to ensure the efficient nomination of all positions and flows across Europe and the UK. The role will involve working outside of normal office hours and at weekends and overnight.

What we need from you
We are keen to hear from individuals with working knowledge of the UK and European gas operations and gas markets. You are a self-starter, who can thrive in a fast-paced environment and effectively multi-task and take ownership of issues from start to resolution. Your excellent analytical skills will be put to use as you focus on portfolio optimization, delivering additional value to our organization. As a team player, you’ll bring in high level of communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate seamlessly with colleagues. Your proficiency in IT systems, especially MS Office, will be an asset as well.
