Job Description Summary

As a Staff Data & Analytics Engineer for the GE Aerospace Digital Workplace team, you will be responsible for working closely with the broader Digital Workplace organization to enable the development and deployment of
key productivity and enablement tools across the organization in a seamless, contemporary, and modern way. Working under the leadership of our Process & Governance Leader, you will be supporting the build out of the
team's core data and analytics platform, working to visualize key product consumption metrics, operational KPIs, and compliance, governance, and regulatory adherence. You will be part of a growing, focused team to
continually develop this internal product portfolio, delivering increased value to our 60,000+ user base across the world, impacting every employee across the company.

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities:


• Design and implement dashboards to visualize product consumption across the Digital Workplace portfolio
• Partner closely with product, engineering, design teams to develop clear and easily consumable dashboard and data sets to drive key decision making
• Work closely with support teams to build operational-level views that to drive key performance insights
• Navigate complex data sets and generate recommendations based on a data-driven story
• Understand requirements from both external and internal stakeholders to drive the data roadmap, ensuring broad organizational needs are met
• Identify insights that provide actionable recommendations to key stakeholders across the organization, specifically supporting spend strategy, operations, and product development
• Own and maintain dashboards ensuring they are updated regularly and reflect a true representation of the environment and team's health
• Automate standard report creation and sharing using tools or scripts
• Mentor and collaborate with a diverse group of business intelligence and data engineers at all levels
• Responsible for working with engineering teams to modernization data flows and ETLs
• Work with sponsors and project teams to define requirements, identify gaps and dependencies, define new formats, analyze data tracking information, and support development of implementation plans.
• Documentation of problem-solving steps into a growing knowledge base.
• Work closely with legal and compliance teams to ensure appropriate rigor is there

• Communicate effectively both within immediate team, horizontal partners, and GE Aerospace leadership.


Basic Qualifications:


• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or in “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math)
• A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in the Data and Analytics domain
• A minimum of 2 years of professional experience in Digital Workplace Technology


Desired Characteristics:


• Experience in working with data visualization tools (such as Tableau or PowerBI)
• Experience using SQL to extract, manipulate, and correlate data sets
• Hands on experience applying data modeling and fundamental core database concepts
• Awareness or experience coding with scripting languages (R, Python, JavaScript) to do data
manipulation, data analysis, and reporting is a plus
• Experience with Digital Workplace services is a huge plus
• Demonstrated strong technical and analytical skills
• Demonstrated solid communication skills at all levels of the organization
• Proactively identifies and removes obstacles or barriers on behalf of the team
• Able to balance value propositions for competing stakeholders and develop recommendations that meet all needs
• Understands when change is needed and actively participates in technical strategy planning
• Proactively engages with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and design solutions using critical thinking and analysis skills and best practices
