Senior Marketing Manager – Insolvency, Forensics & Restructuring

As the Marketing Lead for the Insolvency, Forensics & Recovery (IFR) business, you’ll bring together the marketing team around its practice areas, market access points and channels to drive profitable growth. You’ll do this through the development and implementation of a clear marketing strategy and plan, and leading the team to deliver it effectively and efficiently. Central to success of this role is alignment to the IFR client development team, senior stakeholders, and the Firm’s central markets and clients’ resources.

A look into the role
As the Marketing Lead for our Insolvency, Forensics & Restructuring team you will:
Work with IFR leadership to develop a marketing strategy and programme that is aligned to the key priorities of the business strategy for the IFR business and for the Firm.
Support each of IFR’s practice areas and stakeholders in defining and articulating their client propositions, working closely with the Firm’s well-defined brand pillars
Co-ordinate the practice areas’ go to market strategies and efforts through aligning them to IFR’s 8 market access points / channels, with a focus on the Lawyer channel as a key driver of growth
Work closely with IFR’s client development team, ensuring that the marketing strategy supports the business development strategy and priorities
Lead and develop the IFR marketing team, aligning to agreed objectives
Develop and lead the implementation of digitally focussed marketing initiatives and continuous improvement to marketing assets and materials to enable the BD team and business in the market
Ensure clear KPIs are in place to measure ROI, and to enable evolution of the go to market programme, with focus on the most impactful activity in the market
Manage supplier and third party relationships where related to sponsorships and brand alignment in support of the go to market strategy.
Work collaboratively with other Service Line, and Firm wide marketing teams to ensure a joined up approach to market, and is part of a broader Service line marketing team and community.
Knowing you’re right for us
Joining us as a Marketing Lead, the minimum criteria you’ll need is to be educated to degree level or equivalent and hold a marketing qualification i.e. CIM Post-Graduate Diploma if not part of degree education.
It would be great if you had some of the following skills, but don’t worry if you don’t tick every box, we’ll help you develop along the way.
Proven track record of marketing in a similar organisation, preferably with experience of the legal environment (law firms / barrister chambers etc)
Demonstrable strategic marketing experience including developing go market strategies around content, digital, events and brand
Experience utilising all marketing and BD channels to reach both an intermediary and ‘direct to corporate’ audience
Strong communication and influencing skills
Proof of strong stakeholder management and relationship building with senior stakeholders
Strong project management experience
