This is an exciting opportunity to join the Tax & Accounting Professionals (TAP) business unit as a Business Optimization Manager, ready to take on the challenge as an individual contributor within our Business Optimization organization. In this role, you will be responsible for driving strategic revenue operations initiatives across the TAP portfolio. This role will contribute to the commercial success of the TAP business, collaborating on projects such as new product launches, pricing and packaging, revenue retention, and cross-sell and upsell initiatives. You will partner with product marketing and demand generation teams to provide business insights and direction based on data analysis, customer feedback, and market research. You will also work closely with sales, customer success, finance, and product management to help align teams and projects to revenue goals and optimize sales performance.
This pivotal role calls for an individual with the ability to learn complex products, markets, and the latest technological advancements in the field. The ideal candidate is an experienced professional capable of providing specialist consulting advice, influencing senior and middle management, and resolving complex business problems through innovative thinking.
About the Role:
In this opportunity you will:
- Contribute to revenue growth strategies for TAP products and services, leveraging data-driven insights and best practices
- Collaborate with product marketing and demand generation teams to ensure the TAP business perspective is incorporated into effective go-to-market plans, value propositions, and messaging for target segments and personas
- Incorporate customer behavior, feedback, and business results in identifying opportunities and risks for revenue retention and sales attainment
- Monitor and report on key business metrics and trends, such as pipeline, bookings, churn, renewal rates, and customer lifetime value
- Provide recommendations and guidance to sales and customer success teams to improve sales efficiency, effectiveness, and productivity
- Partner with finance and product management to design and implement optimal pricing and packaging models for the TAP offerings
- Consume market research and competitive analysis to identify and validate new revenue opportunities and gaps
- Work autonomously, providing guidance in complex and nuanced situations, and making strategic decisions that impact the sales organization.
About You:
You're a fit for the role if you have:
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, finance, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in revenue or sales operations, demand generation, or product marketing, preferably in the software or tax and accounting industry
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to synthesize complex data and communicate actionable insights
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present and influence at all levels of the organization
- Experience with CRM, marketing, and other tools, such as Salesforce, Eloqua, Tableau, etc.
- Self-motivated, innovative, and collaborative, with a passion for driving change and delivering results
- Comfortable working through ambiguity and charting a path forward without explicit direction
- Beneficial to have knowledge of tax and accounting products and services, market dynamics, and customer needs
