General Manager, Corporates/Legal at Thomson Reuters
The General Manager, Corporates Legal is the steward of the business, owns top-line metrics (e.g., revenue, sales, net revenue retention, book of business) plus the annual expense plan across their sub-segment within the larger Corporates customer segment. The GM also manages top customer relationships across his or her respective subsegment as well.
About the Role--In this opportunity as a GM, Corporates Legal, you will:
- Own top-line metrics (e.g., revenue, sales, net revenue retention, book of business) through customer engagement while managing costs/expense within the subsegment
- Define and execute on the sub-segment strategy and growth plan (tied into segment strategy) while meeting or exceeding the annual business plan
- Visible in the industry and especially with Corporates Legal Department/General Counsel customers
- Inform acquisition strategy for the segment and actively manage pipeline targets
- Partner closely with leaders in product marketing (inbound and outbound) to drive activities for the sub-segment including, market/customer insights, value proposition, customer segmentation, channel strategy, launch, etc.
- Lead and drive customer focused and obsessed teams with market leading NPS and customer retention and growth
- Drive high performing, engaged workforce and world-class sales talent
- Key member of the segment leadership team, and actively seeks opportunities to drive growth and customer success across the segment and Thomson Reuters
About You--You're a fit for the role of GM, Corporates Legal if you:
- Meet or exceed sales, revenue, book of business and expense annual plan
- Meet or exceed Corporates Legal operational metrics
- Define Corporates Legal strategy and growth plans (aligned to segment) including organic and inorganic growth opportunities
- Meet or exceed customer focused and experience metrics – NPS, retention, upsell, cross sell
- Ensure team is operating in an agile manner focused around the customer
- Work closely with product and marketing teams to synthesize customer needs into high-impact product and services for customers (aligned to segment prioritization)
- Drive sales talent strategy including having world class talent, high engagement, high performing teams, strategic workforce plan tied to Corporates Legal strategy
- Understand the external trends, opportunities, and market insights

Thomson Reuters complies with local laws that require upfront disclosure of the expected pay range for a position. The location(s) for this role include one or more of the following states: KS, MI, MN, NY, VA. The base compensation range for the role in any of those locations is $264,000 - $396,000. The base compensation range in other locations may vary. Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual’s knowledge, skills and experience with consideration given to internal equity. Base pay is one part of a comprehensive Total Reward program which also includes flexible and supportive benefits and other wellbeing programs.
