Reporting to the Product and Process Engineering Manager, and working as a member of a team of Process Engineers, the key responsibilities of the role will be to apply engineering solutions in order to support and improve all aspects of the cable manufacturing process, using continuous improvement and proactive methodologies to ensure that optimum quality, product and machine efficiencies are obtained with minimum waste.
In addition to the above, the successful applicant will be involved in a wide range of projects which will include process optimisation, process commissioning, materials usage and the introduction of new products in to manufacturing, together with the support tasks required to achieve the above, such as maintenance of data systems and producing process instructions.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience
The successful candidate will be qualified ideally to degree standard, or a minimum HND in an appropriate Engineering discipline.
You will have experience in the manufacturing process and be able to demonstrate an understanding of cable manufacturing methods and techniques in addition to a sound theoretical engineering knowledge.
You will possess excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to influence and work at all levels. A high level of drive and energy are required to achieve objectives whilst ensuring standards are maintained.
This is a hands-on role working within a high volume manufacturing environment, requiring a good level of analytical and problem solving skills.

This role is based at our Wrexham site, the address of which is Oak Road, Wrexham Industrial Estate, Wrexham, LL13 9PH. We are able to offer free car parking next to the site.
