We’re looking for a hands-on content manager to join our international marketing team. This role will lead the creation of marketing material and copy for different channels and teams, including writing assets from scratch and refreshing existing ones.
The day-to-day
As a content manager at RingCentral, each day is different. One day, you might be using RingCentral’s latest research study to write a new blog series or eBook. The next day, you might be coming up with new creative ideas to support campaigns.
Here’s a snapshot of what the content/audience manager will be up to:
- Produce marketing materials including blogs, landing pages, white papers, emails, outreach sequences, paid social copy and more.
- Work closely with the campaign managers to maintain content for international campaigns, map content in line with messaging and create content from scratch when needed.
- Be the person to give the wider team advice on tone of voice in line with messaging.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders such as product marketing to supply updated content.
- Maintain a blog calendar to keep the local blog site/s fresh with RingCentral innovations, thought leadership and SEO driven pieces.
- Team up with our SEO specialist to make sure the content we deliver (especially on the blog) is optimised.
- Proofread and edit copy for the wider international marketing team and other departments when needed. For example, supporting our SEM specialist with copy and making sure it’s all up to scratch.
- Support the team with the creation of customer success stories. This could be anything from running the interviews to writing up the story itself, and working with the web team on publication.
- Collaborate with the global social media manager to run organic social media for local markets. This includes maintaining a social calendar and writing copy for LinkedIn and X.
- Simplify localised messaging so that it is simple and clear language. No jargon.
- Support on event related copy when needed. For example, writing the description for roundtables or speaker sessions.
- Write the quarterly newsletter and carry out interviews for the international consultant program.
- Reporting on content and social results to the wider team. Analysing the results to see what should be replicated and what could be adapted to perform better.
- Managing external vendors and freelancers to help with the content creation
- Manage the allocated budget
Qualifications and Skills:
- Proven experience in writing and content management (1 year or more).
- Exceptional eye for detail and experience of working according to style guide and/or tone of voice guidelines.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work in a team as well as independently.
- Experience in B2B marketing. SaaS experience would be a plus.
- Some basic experience in design (not essential).
- Knowledge of SEO best practice (not essential).
