The Debt Services (DS) Finance Business Partner will be responsible for maintaining the financial integrity of DS Public Sector revenue, DS cost management and reporting, ensuring all the requisite financial disciplines are met. They will be responsible for supporting the DS Senior Finance Business Partner in the provision of monthly financial reporting and management accounting deliverables to a range of key stakeholder parties – the DS Senior Leadership Team, Equifax and HM Government.
The role will report to the DS Senior Finance Business Partner and work closely with the Equifax accounting team, to provide reports and appraisal of consolidated financials into the Equifax organisation. The role also holds responsibility for the annual assurance program, a Government requirement.
Responsible for the financial reporting for DS Public Sector revenue and DS costs, ensuring accurate completion of the monthly financial reports as well as the generation of detailed and predictive forecasts and budgets
Instrumental in meeting all financial requirements under the public sector government frameworks, Debt Resolution Services (DRS) and Debt Market Integrator (DMI)
Ensure all financial disciplines are carried out to the highest standard
Responsible for the annual government assurance program
Provide relevant financial information to meet Government Open Book Contract Management guidelines with a focus on value for money
Partner with teams across the business to ensure accurate reporting and timely identification of emerging risks and opportunities
Willing to do what is required to get the job done, as part of a small dynamic team
Education Required: Qualified Accountant or Finalist (ACA, ACCA, AAT, CIMA)
Candidate should have at least 3 years experience working in an accounting environment
Solid understanding of accruals, prepayments and posting journals
Must be able to communicate effectively and able to build good working relationships across all levels of the organisation (financial and non-financial)
High level of numeracy and accuracy is essential in this role
Ability to priortise and organsie work independently in order to hit tight, multiple deadlines
Experience of business partnering
Experience of forecasting and budgeting
Knowledge of US GAAP accounting and revenue recognition
Familiarity with use of Oracle and Essbase
Work experience at a multi-national or US based business
