As Events & Communications Manager you will play a pivotal role leading the design and delivery of events calendar as well as supporting our communications approach. You will work with the wider communications and marketing teams and commercial business to deliver our events, social and awards strategy which elevates our UK brands. Also providing internal communications and external communications support.
Create, own and deliver the events strategy and results reporting to engage key audiences, build brand awareness, improve preference and support business objectives.
Engage closely with the wider communications and marketing function to align on priorities and key messaging, sector focus, product offering and devise appropriate event recommendations.
Develop and own the full event strategy and coordination for UK&I business, including external events (in person and webinar) and internal events (town halls and virtual all hands activity).
Lead the end-to-end organisation and management of all events, across all aspects from logistics, message development, through to on the day support.
Support the wider team's communication strategy with communications production, award nominations, internal communications and social media support. Develop promotional materials, blogs, thought leadership, social media and internet/digital marketing, which showcase our business, our products and our people.and what we deliver to clients.
Event management will include (but not limited to) in person events, webinar events, roundtables, exhibitions and trade shows.
Deliver pre-event and post-event campaigns to drive awareness and increase reach/impact.
Measurement and analysis of activity against targets. Be able to draw conclusions and actively make recommendations to drive improvements.
Actively seek high quality event opportunities and analyse past event metrics to optimise future results and support the business in meeting ambitious growth targets.
Some travel with occasional nights working away from home should be expected.
A proactive and driven professional who can build, manage and direct event marketing and communications strategy.
Competent in managing multiple tasks and deadlines, with excellent problem-solving skills. Ability to effectively interact with colleagues at all levels to maximise our events and communications strategy and support our drive for growth.
Experienced in implementing effective event strategies to drive brand awareness, lead generation and pipeline development. Managing the end-to-end delivery in a matrix organisation, working closely with product owners, commercial/sales leads.
Strong project management skills, with the ability to deliver and report on multiple projects in various stages of the events lifecycle.
Strategic mindset to plan and implement long term campaigns with outcomes linking to wider business requirements.
Exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail across all events to ensure first-class delivery.
Ability to operate independently and to apply new perspectives on existing solutions to solve complex problems.
Ability to create strong networks and work cross-functionally to build trust and enable smooth execution of events and communications activity for the business.
Strong events strategy and delivery experience, preferably in a financial services or B2B environment,
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Plus a high standard of influencing skills with more senior business colleagues.
Extensive event delivery experience across all channels (in person, virtual and hybrid),
A track record of success in organising and leveraging events with a view to raising brand awareness and driving sales opportunities.
Experience in planning and delivering events and communications programmes which increase demand.
Experience in measuring and reporting on investments for a B2B business, plus building and sharing the ROI story based on measurable activities and metrics.
Strong understanding of digital channels, segmentation and marketing strategies.
Experienced in using G Suite, Oracle Eloqua, SalesForce Sales Cloud, Pardot or Marketing Cloud, Google Analytics 360.
