The role of an HR Business Partner is crucial in today's corporate world. It is a dynamic and evolving position that requires individuals to have a strong understanding of commercial business operations, people engagement , and organisational development.
Unlike traditional HR roles, the HR Business Partner is not necessarily required to have prior HR experience. Instead, the focus is on their behaviours and ability to align HR strategies with business objectives. As such we are looking for a dynamic individual to join our HR team.
What you'll do
Act as a strategic partner to the business by understanding the organisation's goals and objectives and providing HR guidance to support the achievement of these goals.
Partner with managers to identify and address employee performance and development needs.
Collaborate with other departments to develop and implement HR initiatives and programs that support the overall business objectives.
Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on HR policies and procedures, including performance management, employee relations, and compliance with employment laws. A deep understanding of Employee Relations, Employment Law, and Investigative skills is preferred.
Analyse HR data to identify trends and make recommendations for improving employee engagement and retention.
Partner with hiring managers and talent acquisition to create job descriptions, identify key competencies, and develop recruitment strategies to attract, develop and retain top talent
Conduct training and development programs for managers and employees to build their skills and capabilities.
Support the implementation of HR initiatives such as diversity and inclusion, employee engagement, and wellness programs.
Maintain accurate and confidential HR records and ensure compliance with data protection laws.
Act as the first point of contact for employees regarding HR-related queries and concerns.
What experience you need
Business Acumen: Possesses a deep understanding of the organisation's goals, objectives, and challenges. They should have a keen interest in the business's overall performance and be able to make strategic decisions that align with the company's vision.
Strategic Thinking: Be able to think strategically, anticipate future trends, and plan ahead. They must have the ability to analyse complex data, identify patterns, and make informed decisions to support the organisation's long-term goals.
Collaborative: The role requires collaboration with various departments and stakeholders. You must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships and work collaboratively towards achieving common goals.
Change Management: In today's fast-paced business environment, change is constant. You should be highly resilient and adaptable, and have the skills to tolerate ambiguity and manage change effectively. They should be able to anticipate and mitigate potential risks while implementing change initiatives.
Results-Oriented: They should be driven by results and have a track record of delivering on their commitments. They must have a sense of urgency and be able to prioritise tasks to meet deadlines without compromising on the quality of work.
Empathetic: They must have a deep understanding of human behaviour and be able to empathise with employees. They should have the ability to listen actively, understand different perspectives, and provide meaningful solutions to address employee concerns.
Influential: As a trusted advisor to senior management, the HR Business Partner must be able to influence decisions that impact the organisation's employees. They should have excellent negotiation skills and the ability to present compelling arguments backed by data.
Confidentiality and integrity: The HR Business Partner should maintain strict confidentiality and demonstrate high ethical standards while handling sensitive employee information. They should also act with integrity and uphold the company's values and code of conduct.
