Reporting to the SIOP & Materials Manager, the Production Control Manager is responsible for leading & developing the Production Control team to manage, maintain, and coordinate production planning & scheduling, reduce outages and enable on time delivery. In this role, you will work cross-functionally within the business for inventory control, supply chain and logistics to solve problems, drive continuous improvement, and to achieve key production targets.
Responsibilities:
Team & Training
Build a strong, pro-active, motivated production control team capable of consistently delivering high quality products against aggressive production plans & KPI’s
Ensure the production control team are empowered to deliver results, through ensuring regular performance related feedback (challenging, mentoring & coaching). Generate and monitor individual & team SMART KPI’s
Generate, Implement & ensure production control team utilizes standardized and consistent work practices across value streams
Delivery Assurance & Monitoring
Generating (with the production team), the daily, weekly, and monthly production targets to achieve customer on time delivery.
Ensure MPS Schedule is understood and Adhered to.
Drive and communicate Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for the department driving a world class business, both as an individual & as a team.
Monitor daily production activities/output, analyze production data, and identify areas for improvement to drive efficiency and productivity.
Drive (with the production control team) WIP turnover to support key inventory requirements.
Ensure regular shortage/outage reviews are held to minimize production stoppages. Drive team to communicate and drive improvement through the supply chain.
Ensure the production team are following procedure and producing products using approved parts and processes, and that quality/yield issues are proactively managed to reduce the associated cost of poor quality.
Where required, generate & maintain customer burndown and OD LE profiles to support business activities (both individually and as a team)
Daily/Weekly/Misc
Lead the Daily/Weekly planning meeting.
Attend the Daily Tier meeting and communicate any relevant escalations/notifications.
Ensuring effective communication channels are adopted and adhered to throughout the organization structure.
Develop, maintain & support partnerships with both the supply chain and customers. Support on-site & off-site supplier & customer requirements as and when necessary.

Support Monthly SIOP Cycle, In particular the Supply Portion Prepare and facilitate Meetings as required.

QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE:
Bachelors degree in mechanical/manufacturing engineering (or equivalent).
APICS CPIM preferential
Strong SAP Planning Experience
Strong knowledge of SIOP within a manufacturing environment
Strong MS Office Experience required, PPT, WORD, Excel (Pivot Tables, Formulas)
Proven Supervisory experience minimum 3 Years
Confident and professional personality, experienced with direct customer interface.
