We’re looking for a Senior Software Engineer that is passionate about making an impact and helping build the next big thing in cybersecurity. In this position, you will be joining a team of talented engineers who are passionate about building out the UI for Rapid7’s Agent Management tools. 

About the Team

Our Agent Management team is committed to delivering cutting-edge solutions that empower organizations to proactively manage their Endpoint Agents within their IT infrastructure. As an integral part of Rapid7's cybersecurity products and services, this team plays a pivotal role in enhancing the experience of managing Rapid7 products used by our customers.

This team is responsible for a core front end application that detects the health and status of our on premise Rapid7 Agents and provides detail into our cloud services. The primary focus of the application is aimed at helping our customers manage the assets that use our Insight Agent and ensuring that their IT estate is reporting and detecting into our Rapid7 Insight Platform.
Tech Stack: Typescript and ReactJS , Webpack, Jest. 

About the Role

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be focussed on building a customer front experience that helps our customers seamlessly manage their Rapid7 Agent estate  as effectively and efficiently as possible, and ensuring our products are delivering a seamless experience. You will be given the time to continue to develop your skills surrounded by a team of incredibly smart and experienced Engineers. 

In this role, you will:

• Work with a talented and supportive team while helping to deliver new initiatives for our Agent Management solution

• Have the opportunity to mentor & coach an existing team in a fast-paced environment and industry

• Develop solutions and support in implementing our core Agent Management features following our UI development best practices and conventions.

• Develop efficiently, while maximizing performance and minimizing costs, making sure high standards are being followed when it comes to design, quality, security, performance, and unit and component testing.

• Participate in the design and planning of upcoming features, our Engineers are first class stakeholders in all parts of the development process 

• When required, partner with internal teams such as UX and Product Management who work deeply with our product to ensure we are understanding our customers needs 

• Work towards developing a deep understand of our products in order to best support our customers 

• Work with UI technologies
  understanding of testing approaches (e2e, visual regression, unit testing) with testing tools and frameworks

The skills you’ll bring include:

• A minimum of 3-5 years experience in software development using Typescript and ReactJS or equivalent programming languages. Experience in the use of Webpack Build Tool and the Jest Testing Framework

• Understanding of testing approaches (e2e, visual regression, unit testing) with testing tools and frameworks

• Knowledge of debugging and measuring performance of react applications

• Excited by technology, curious and eager to learn

• Strong creative problem solving skills

• Solid communicator with excellent written and verbal communications skills both within the team and cross functionally
