📍Location: Basingstoke - 5 Days a week in the office with occasional work from home

📝 Contract: Full-time, Permanent

💰Salary Range: from £25,000 with opportunity to grow within banding

🌟Overview

As part of the Hardware team aligned to project delivery, your role would be to help with the efficient delivery of products across a multitude of sports that stretch to every corner of the world. 

Primarily, you will be working alongside a Project Manager or Hardware Lead to build different Hawk-Eye systems in a variety of ways on time and based on the project scope. You will also work to maintain demonstration kits for referee training events, perform research and development tasks to better Hawk-Eye’s ever-expanding hardware pool and help to fabricate bespoke equipment alongside other organisational/external needs. 

As a person, you will be an independent and driven go-getter with great communication and organisational skills, with a keen interest in learning and collaborating with the team. You will be able to approach tasks logically and methodically with good problem-solving skills.  Every day will be different, so you will need to be proactive in your approach to work, with the ability to change between tasks and manage your time effectively.

💼Day to Day Responsibilities

  • Perform daily hardware tasks as assigned by the Hardware Management Team

  • Perform basic ordering and Stock Control functions as assigned by the Hardware Management Team

  • Champion sub-tasks of larger projects under the guidance of the Hardware Management Team

  • Provide hardware-related support to the Operational Teams and Remote Support where necessary under the guidance of the Support and Maintenance Assistant Manager

  • Provide analytical information pertaining to hardware faults, investigation and alternative solutions

  • Responsible for general housekeeping of the Production Floor and other utilised areas

  • Responsible for the reporting and logging of time spent against projects

  • A core part of the QA/QC process of equipment builds

  • Comply and assist with all Production Floor H&S for both internal & external teams.

  • Coordination with Logistics Team regarding logistical queries

🛠Your Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

Essential

  • Hands-on experience: Candidates should have some experience with repair, maintenance, and troubleshooting of electronic equipment;

  • An eagerness to learn new skills and gain new knowledge to cover the continuously evolving hardware technologies used by all departments;

  • The ability to communicate effectively with team members and clients is essential, as well as the ability to communicate technical information to non-technical personnel;

  • Strong attention to detail is needed to ensure that equipment is functioning properly and to identify and diagnose any issues that may arise;

  • Must take responsibility for your own work, standards and training program;

  • Must demonstrate a diligent & organised approach to resolving technical issues and supplying clear solutions;

Preferred

  • Ability to work well independently as well as part of a team;

  • Creating and maintaining comprehensive hardware documentation;

  • Experience of working with RMA processes, identifying problems and the replacement of equipment, within the timescales available;

  • Good understanding of the technologies used in the products you’ve worked on;

  • Must be flexible in order to facilitate up to 7 days off-site per year for training or business-critical circumstances;

  • Certifications in Mechanical, Audio, Electronic technology, IT, and related field is an added advantage.
