We are looking for a Senior HR Advisor (SHRA) on a fixed term basis for a parental leave cover for a period of approx. 12 months. This role would suit a Senior HR Advisor looking for a new challenge or an experienced HR Advisor, People Advisor, Employee Relations (ER) Advisor, HR Officer with strong operational experience who can manage their own workload, looking for that next step up where they will gain personal development and mentoring from an established and experienced HR Business Partner.
Reporting into our HR Business Partner for Distribution, and working in partnership with them, the SHRA role is key in providing proactive and knowledgeable HR support across our two sites in Grantham, Lincolnshire and Frating, Colchester, Essex.
As this role will be working with our Distribution Warehouse teams who are always on site, you will be able to work from home occasionally but will need to be able to travel regularly to both sites. You should expect to spend roughly 4 days on site each week, but this could flex up a full week at times with the needs of the business.
The key responsibilities are to:
Support key stakeholders in providing advice and guidance regarding people challenges within their teams and taking a pragmatic approach to the management of these.
Be responsible for an ER case load and ensuring proactive support and management of this.
Work with the HR Business Partner and Senior Management team, to establish trends and seek to address them.
Provide local management of the HR element in change projects, with support of HR Business Partner as required.
Lead or support various projects across the two sites, acting as a valued member of the HR team.
