Analyst- Investments/M&A

BMG is looking for a Manager- Investments/M&A to join our team and take charge of evaluating and executing our UK pipeline. In this role, you will lead acquisition and advance-based deals in our publishing and recording divisions, ensuring efficient execution in collaboration with Legal & Business Affairs, Financial, Income Tracking, and Royalty & Copyright departments. What you'll be doing.

• Managing the Global Investment Pipeline in conjunction with the Global Vice President – Investments/M&A.
• Reviewing and evaluating deal terms and structure.
• Critically evaluate deals and provide valuable insights.
• Performing financial valuation and discounted cash flow analysis.
• Building financial models.
• Creating investment appraisals for executive management.
• Assisting Creative and Legal & Business Affairs teams throughout the negotiation process.
• Managing/tracking deal processes from start to finish and maintaining the deal pipeline.
• Monitoring compliance with Investment policy and continually improving processes.
• Providing analysis and PowerPoints for board presentations.
• Conducting market research to gain and implement business insights.
• Ad hoc projects as required.

Who you are.

• Previous experience with financial valuation and data analysis.
• Advanced skills in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint and Word).
• Experience with financial evaluation and translation of data.
• Technical understanding of and practical work experience with valuation mechanics (e.g. discounted cash fow, financial statements
• Strong communication skills.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to create and diligently appraise business plans.
• Ability to recognise and effectively communicate insights and practical recommendations.
• Technical understanding of valuation mechanics.
• Excellent organisational / communication skills to ensure the proactive management of multiple projects and tight deadlines.
• Adaptability and ability to communicate effectively with a variety of stakeholders.
• Ability to concisely deliver informative and well-organised reports & presentations.

It’s a plus if you also have…

• ACA/ACCA/CIMA/CFA or other relevant qualification.
