Publishing Manager, Backlist/Special Editions, Random House Worlds (Open to Remote)
The Random House Worlds team seeks a Publishing Manager specializing in Backlist/Special Editions. The newly created role reports to the Deputy Publisher and works in the Publishing office of Random House Worlds. The manager will work to maximize opportunities with the backlist titles (and certain frontlist titles) of the three imprints (Del Rey, Random House Worlds, & Inklore).
This position will collaborate with many departments, including publishing, editorial, marketing, sales, art, and production. With a focus on team building and project management, the manager will strategize with the publishing team on day-to-day decisions regarding timing, sales promotions, and the selection of backlist titles for reissue.
The Backlist/Special Editions Manager will cultivate an awareness of our backlist, identify opportunity titles, and develop strategies for bringing them to a new audience. Project-based, the job will include liaising with authors and agents, repackaging covers, working with the sales team on timing and promotions, and interfacing with marketing when needed on individual books.
In addition, the position will manage first editions, account exclusives, convention exclusives, and movie tie-in editions, working with internal stakeholders as well as outside partners to project manage these special publications, which take extra care and attention.

Salary for this position is $70,000. All positions are currently eligible for annual profit award or bonus, subject to Company results.
