About the Role:
Reporting directly into the Supply Chain Director and forming part of the Supply Chain leadership team, you will have responsibility for UK Commercial Logistics, working in collaboration with the logistics teams across our UK businesses. Key to the role is to develop a cohesive UK commercial logistics strategy, delivering optimisation across the triangle of Cost-Quality-Service.
Your main responsibilities will include:
Developing and implementing a cohesive UK Commercial Logistics vision and strategy including import, domestic and export.
Collaborating effectively with numerous internal and external stakeholders such as third party suppliers, factory teams, brand teams and commercial teams to achieve company strategic objectives and deliver process improvements along the supply chain value stream.
Providing effective coaching and leadership of a total team of 9 staff members via 3 direct reports.
Analysing the Supply Chain KPI’s collaboratively with the team(s), identifying areas for improvement through joint action planning.
Ensuring effective logistics capacity planning and storage forecasting in a fast paced NPD environment.
Ensuring a successful implementation and integration of a new 3PL provider.

A successful track record of leading a Logistics Team including 3PL Management, road, sea and air logistics services ideally in FMCG andor pharmaceutical supply chains.
Experience of importation, domestic and export logistics in a highly regulated or GMP/GDP environment.
Budget management and forecasting experience (OPEX budget £3M).
Preferably degree qualified in a relevant discipline.
Experience of SAP or similar ERP systems and ideally 3PL interfaces/inventory reconciliation systems.
Highly developed stakeholder management skills and able to build effective working relationships both internally and externally.
