Life on the team 
 

We are now looking for a new Head of Function for IT Asset Management (ITAM) dept within with Process Delivery dept of Digital Control. The Process Delivery department are responsible for delivering process governance to our customers, ensuring processes provide the outcomes customers are expecting with the required quality at the expected cost. As Head of ITAM, you will ensure our Asset, Configuration and License processes and practices are delivering contractual obligations for Computacenter’s customers. The service is responsible for around 3 million Assets, Configuration Items and Licenses for 40 large customers. The team consists of 4 Direct Reports, based in the UK, Germany, France and India, with overall responsibility for 75 people across those 4 core locations.

What you’ll do

Woking as a Head of Function you will be working closely with the Operational, Service and Technical Leads, you will have the responsibility of ensuring our resources, processes and tools are enabled to deliver target operational outcomes optimally to around 3million Assets, Configuration Items and 1000+ vendors worldwide to around 40 large customers. You will be also accountable for delivering continual improvement throughout the operation working with Group Managed Services Product, Service and Delivery Leads.

Specific tasks include:

• Establishes Team objectives 
• Manages a team across the Group over multiple geographies & timezones
• Develop and motivate team to help ensure the delivery of team and department targets and build relevant succession plans.
• Provide effective leadership to drives change, innovation, and growth across the Team, linked to the department and divisional goals. 
• Responsible for the leadership and success of the ITAM function and resources.
• Implementing the strategic approach to managing Assets, Configurations and Licenses within Remote Service Operations
• Responsible for successful transition of new customers to the Asset, Configuration and License services and processes.
• Managing the dept P&L, ensuring cost and revenue targets are met
• Managing staff efficiency and constant improvement via automation, process improvement etc
• Developing and managing the service location strategy to ensure a complete suite of options for customer depending on their needs.
• Working with internal and external stakeholders such as clients or other departments to ensure that services meet their requirements.
• Ensuring that all customers have the right people, tools and processes in place
• Assisting in the evaluation of new customer opportunities to ensure they are priced correctly

What you’ll need

• Previous Leadership experience
• Experience of Managing cross cultures
• Proven experience leading and managing a team of Asset, Configuration and License  professionals.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and implement processes and procedures related to Asset, Configuration and License Management
• Expertise in market leading Asset, Configuration and Licenses tools.
• Extensive experience managing of large scale, shared service Asset, Configuration and License Management
• Strong understanding of principles of driving business change
• Experience working in a global organisation.
• Thorough knowledge of ITIL framework
