The shift we are making in the market means a huge change in how we plan our brand & communications to deliver on business objectives and brand OKRs. This role will lead development of the 12-18 month and quarterly communications plans & will lead the change in how we plan across marketing, making the shift to audience and insight led communications planning across our paid, owned and earned channels channels. 

What you’ll be doing

  1. Accountable for development of integrated and audience led brand & communications plans to deliver on Consumer business & brand objectives/OKRs across all senior stakeholders in EE Consumer 
  2. Combine creativity and communications effectiveness through strong understanding of audiences, insight, data strategy and media thinking across paid, owned and earned channels to lead & inform planning direction across marketing 
  3. Forever curious about what is happening in the world that our brand, and our audiences, live in to inspire provocative ways for the EE brand to show up to capture consumer attention across multiple product categories (BB/mobile/TV/home security/consumer electronics/digital platform engagement for both customers and non customers)
  4. Combine our paid and owned communications touchpoints to create an ecosystem of communication that leads our audiences on a journey to a specific outcome. Understand how we can both proactively communicate and respond to triggers of our audiences and the moments/times of the year that are most relevant to communicate 
  5. Create briefs with deep audience specific insight to drive maximum relevance to achieve brand objectives & OKRs
  6. Work with cross functional teams across marketing, digital and service CFUs to ensure we’re using all of our paid and owned channels and communication tools to reach our audiences at scale 
  7. Work with other marketing stakeholders to get the most out of the audience data strategy and needstate propositions 
  8. Lead on internal planning processes and GTM integration of paid and owned communications plans 
  9. Main interface into agencies from a planning point of view and owner of audience lead briefing processes 
     

The skills and experience you will need under your belt

  1. Paid and owned integration: You’ll have considerable experience in communications planning, paid and owned channel comms/media strategy or similar role at a customer led organization 
  2. Story-telling with insight & data: strong skills in building the case for change, drawing on insight, data and analytical planning techniques with the ability to challenge and influence change & alignment across multiple senior stakeholders across the Marketing organization
  3. Communications Planning Experience: demonstration of audience led planning experience across paid and owned channels required, with creative/media agency relationship experience required  
  4. An influencer and change maker:  Linking business acumen & commercial priorities through to communications strategy with ability to connect with the creative direction of the brand & leading internal stakeholder decision making, and all creative/media agencies to alignment on one integrated plan
