The key purpose of the role is to deliver transformational change outcomes across a portfolio of change programmes using externally recognised change methodologies and lead virtual teams across BT Security to drive BT Security’s growth ambitions of generating £1bn by 2030d. The scale and pace of Security's transformation and growth ambitions require continued development and refinement of our strategy and operating model to ensure we are seizing our market opportunity, proactively responding to changes in the market and gaining efficiencies.
With Security as a major growth engine of BT Group and a core part of BT’s 2030 ambition, this role is front-and-centre to defining and enabling BT Security’s current and future success.
What you’ll be doing
Delivers transformational change initiatives using recognised Transformation specialisms to include:
- Project and Programme Management
- Agile change
- Change management
- Business Improvement
Defines the appropriate Change Management methodology and tools for use by the BT Security change leads and change agents;
Collaborates with local change agents to drive change locally, supporting transformational and incremental improvement opportunities;
Owns and governs the relevant transformation methodology, including all tools and training content;
Drives in-life Specialist practices throughout BT Security by supporting functions in the implementation and execution of change;
Owns the governance of relevant methodologies for BT Security to ensure teams adhere to the relevant ways of working;
Ensure stakeholder communications are clear and tailored to influence disparate group to engage on change journey;
Works across BT Security functions to develop business cases for new change programmes.
Skills and Experience
Strong planning, programme management and delivery skills;
Strong stakeholder management, influencing and networking skills;
Recognised completer-finisher of complex change initiatives;
Analytical and challenging while being supportive;
Strong commercial awareness;
Strong problem solving skills;
Capable of leading and motivating virtual, cross functional teams;
Excellent written and verbal communication skills - able to distil complex issues into clear messages ;
Resilience to work through complex and ambiguous challenges.
Experience
A recognised expert in one or more of the following areas:
Project / programme Management – experience leading complex projects across multiple functions;
