Why this job matters:

 

The key purpose of this role is to work collaboratively with key stakeholders to understand the business problem and the solution options that will enable the objectives of a change programme to be achieved. The role holder will be responsible for facilitating all elements of business design including discovery, scoping, options analysis, requirements definition, business process design, and capability maturity analysis and operating model design. The role holder will be accountable for assuring delivery against requirements to the quality and level required that will drive the right business outcomes and ensure realisation of the Consumer Strategy.  

What you’ll be doing:

 

•    Work with the Concept Owner and key stakeholders to define objectives and key results for an initiative, define the problem to solve 
•    Identify the optimal discovery approach, and structure it to fast track to design & delivery
•    Structure the backlog and work in a way that enables customer testing (MVP) and a fast way to market (MMP) and enables logical phasing of delivery  
•    Identify possible business and technical solution options, and lead evaluation of those options from desirability, viability and feasibility perspective with key stakeholders from business, channels, technology and other areas
•    Synthesise and present the results of options analysis to senior stakeholders up to Director and MD level to enable effective decision making
•    Work with key stakeholders to understand the “as-is” state to identify required changes and design the “to-be” experience and processes
•    Facilitate collaboration with key stakeholders as needed
•    Lead the identification of value to help prioritise epics and features
•    Specify features and user stories in the right time (pace, velocity) to the agreed definition of ready
•    Specify business, functional and non-functional requirements required to achieve the objectives of the programme
•    Complete as-is capability maturity analysis across process, people and technology and to-be capability requirement definition
•    Design channel agnostic business processes to BT standards
•    Design of operating model / operating model changes to support change 
•    Complete unhappy path analysis using appropriate methods, such as FMEAs and edge case definition
•    Manage compliance against requirements and facilitate necessary decisions to progress with any areas of non compliance
•    Quality assure technical design into delivery including supporting investigation of defects, facilitate defect prioritisation and resolution definition and recovery planning
•    Post launch documentation including updating business process documentation and Business Architecture capability documentation
