Internal Communications Manager - Colleague Experience at BT Group

And that’s where you come in. As the Internal Communications Manager, focusing on delivering the communications aligned with that activity, you’ll:

  • Be part of a team on a mission to make people communications simple and brilliant for our colleagues.
  • Provide support to our CoE teams, who drive significant change across BT Group. Its an exciting time to be part of the material shifts we’re making to policies and processes.
  • You’ll be responsible for building stakeholder relationships and communication plans for these areas and delivering comms against their agenda to all colleagues across BT Group.
  • You’ll spend roughly 80% of your time crafting communications for CoEs with the rest of your time supporting our wider CX IC team, reflecting and developing your own career.

What you'll be doing

  • Work closely with the Principal who leads the CX team, the immediate CX IC team, the broader internal communications community and key stakeholders to create compelling and engaging stories and content.
  • Be a trusted advisor to your stakeholders, providing constructive challenge whenever required.
  • Be a creative and passionate content creator, searching out new ideas that support our people priorities.
  • Be a collaborative member of the wider internal comms and corporate affairs teams, happy to muck in to drive the wider team’s success.

The skills you'll need

  • Solid experience working in internal communications.
  • Experience in telling good stories that cut through the noise of day-to-day life in a big organisation with international audiences.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills at all levels with the ability to constructively challenge when you disagree with something.
  • Confidence to work with and advise leaders in line with internal comms priorities and principles.
  • Ability to successfully plan and manage multiple internal comms projects at any one time.
  • Be experienced in advising the best way to land messages, working across a wide range of internal channels and skilled in creating brilliant communications.
