Why this job matters

You day to day role is to design and deliver solutions for BT’s customers.  Your design work will specialise in one of three distinct disciplines either network solutions, voice solutions or contact centre solutions.  Our customers are generally external customers so you will be recognised with that enhanced level of visibility and responsibility.

 

We recognise we need to continually challenge ourselves, question current processes, and manage our changes to work more efficiently. As a senior member of the team, you’ll be expected to coach others and suggest new approaches or ideas and generate the benefits and opportunities that they offer.


We recognise a need to constantly grow.  You'll learn from your experience and mistakes.  Readily applying new knowledge towards the next challenge. We will expect you to manage the risks associated to your designs.  Drive a technology direction.  Provide contributory feedback and respond positively to the strategic challenges we face.  Generating great stakeholder dialogue is a requirement in this position.

What you’ll be doing

 

  • Work as part of a global team of dedicated designers.
  • Deliver medium to large designs, potentially serving as the design lead.
  • Possess expert knowledge of overall design principles.
  • Contribute to technical discussions, guiding others to better understand and improve design principles.
  • Impart design principles to senior levels, influencing future directions, potentially transitioning to customer-facing roles.

Skills You'll Need

 

  • Technical skillsets: 
  • Fortinet product suite (FortiGate, FortiSwitch, FortiAP, FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer)
  • Design & implementation of FortiGate firewall policies and security profiles.
  • SD-WAN design experience, Fortinet preferable
  • Certification CCNA, CCNP, NSE 4-7
