The Statistical Modelling & Strategy team (SMS) within Credit Risk is responsible for designing and monitoring strategies to protect the growth of the Consumer and Commercial segment for all EE and BT portfolios including Mobile, Fixed line, Broadband and TV.
Specialists support key stakeholders in delivering regular initiatives aimed at improving customer acquisition, account maintenance and the customer order journey across BT and EE products. The role holder will own a range of analytical projects, designed to increase market share, within desired risk levels.
• Supporting the implementation of Acquisition and In Life credit risk strategies
• Producing analytics to monitor, enhance and redevelop scorecard models
• Collaborating with colleagues and external data suppliers, to deliver company targets
• Providing accurate insight of performance trends, identifying growth opportunities
• Supporting the testing and implementation of policies and processes across multiple products
• Acting as a credit risk subject matter expert taking ownership of analytical projects
• Supporting customer journey discussions regarding FCA-regulated products
The experience you’ll have
• Experience of delivering growth strategies in a high-volume credit risk environment
• Experience of building statistical models and scorecards
• Familiarity of incorporating Credit Reference Agency Data within analytics
• Proficient user of SAS and Excel
• Degree level or equivalent experience in a financial, statistical or mathematical specialism
• Experience of making implementation recommendations within credit risk decision systems

• Problem-solving acumen: Attention to detail while processing large volumes of data from multiple sources
• Communication acumen: Ability to convey analytical concepts to Senior Management and Operations colleagues to agree strategies for implementation
• Business acumen: Demonstrating a strong commercial focus by considering all of the drivers of profitability within analytical delivery
• Stakeholder management: Do you have excellent communications skills with evidence of influencing stakeholder
