In this Product Manager role you’ll help lead development of the Broadband One (multi-site) product, with support from functions such as propositions, commercial, service, and our technology teams, in addition to external suppliers.
Our Broadband portfolio delivers fast, reliable internet to the public sector - including the NHS - and a huge range of corporate businesses, while providing broadband solutions to wholesale partners. You’ll manage the product roadmap, launch developments and enhancements into the sales channels, clearly communicating the benefits and differentiation. You'll also have the support of systems delivery teams in the Digital & Networks space to define developments, empowered through Agile methodologies.
You'll join a growing team of 5, based in BT's London strategic hub - One Braham, working 3 days per week from the office. The team is tight-knit, with regular get-togethers that even those who have since left the team attend. So that means you'll always feel like you can turn to someone for help and enjoy being part of a highly motivated team both in and out of the office.
• Identify new features & products by understanding and analysing user needs, BT Group's current product suite and business requirements of internal functions like sales and service.
• Contribute towards the continual assessment of customer needs, evolving the product strategy to deliver against those needs and maintain a market leading position.
• Work with Commercial and Finance teams to build business case to support capex (development) investment.
• Collaborate with analytics and engineering teams, and work with stakeholders e.g. sales, propositions, marketing, legal, and customer success teams to fulfil the product backlog using Scrum/ Agile methodologies.
• Drive delivery of developments, agreeing Minimum Viable Product and building on this until the full product is delivered.
• Ensure accurate and formal product documentation such as handbooks and user guides.
• Contribute to the building of data points and tracking to enable the product to be managed in life. This includes building data tools, pipelines, analytic dashboards, and visualisations.
• Product strategy: Able to define and drive product strategy and roadmap bringing new developments to market on time and within budget. This includes: User Story Definition, User Experience Design, User Research & Customer Need Identification, Product Discovery & Experimentation, Project/Programme Management
• You can influence and shape the product to meet changing customer requirements or reacting to competitive threat.
• Can develop knowledge of the broadband market and the competitive landscape as well as an understanding of customer requirements relevant to broadband products and networks.
• You are comfortable engaging with senior managers & directors within BT and externally i.e. industry working groups and with suppliers.
• Able to build cases for change and drawing on data and analytical techniques to present and articulate where required. Define objectives and key results (OKR).
• A good understanding of how broadband works, is provided, and carried across networks.
