Job Descrption

SUMMARY

Responsible for understanding, meeting and exceeding customers’ needs to create value for the customer throughout the order-to-invoice process. Through direct communication with the customer, the incumbent will maintain customer accounts and act in a cooperative and responsible manner to ensure a customer rapport that will encourage the growth of sales and value-added services.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

 

Build customer relationships in a professional manner through solution-oriented communication

 

Establishes and maintains strong relationships with contractors, end-users, key purchasing influencers and decision makers

 

Managing Sale Channel Partners - Seek out and research prospective projects through established sales channels and recommends the development of alternate sales channels.  Drives the process for major project pursuit developing sales strategies with inside sales support and the channel partner network.  Assist with the negotiations of contracts for purchase w/ the legal staff (paralegals, etc.). 

 

Have technical knowledge to assist customers and employees as needed and have access to reference materials to ensure appropriate completion of all work (submittals, As-Build drawings etc).

 

Establish relationships with all levels of prospective customers and stakeholders who influence or make buying decisions

 

Collaborate sold services, service quotes, and maintenance contracts with Service Coordinator.

 

Synthesizes complex information (technical and commercial information) to get internal input to provide clear answer and tailored solutions to fulfill with customer expectations.

 

Coordinate multidisciplinary teams in De Nora organization to get the proper deliverable for a wining proposal, from the proposal team (Departments interactions: Customer Service, Legal, Sales Operations Support, R&D, Engineering, Finance)

 

Bids the projects with the Sales Channel Partners and provides the bidding strategy before the bid and works with the Business Unit to prepare the bid proposals.

Develops plans to increase sales and market share of all assigned product lines by developing relationships and using effective communications with municipal government officials, consulting engineers, contractors, industrial end users, utility companies and channel partners

 

Conducts contracts and proposals negotiations according to company guidelines

 

Include suggested spare parts list in quotations.

 

American Water contact (NJ, MO, PA & IL have EC Installations)

 

Aqua , Veolia (46-sites in the East) (bid/no bid)

 

Focus on Installation rebuilds, Media Changeout, Electrochlorination cell replacement, UV changeouts/upgrades.

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience with SAP and Salesforce preferred
  • Ability to understand and interpret technical documents and drawings preferred

 

 

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High school diploma and 1-3 years related technical sales experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
