What is the job about?
The Regional Vendor Planning Manager is responsible for overseeing and developing the performance of their department or team, as well as providing direction and motivation for the team. The role specifically involves being accountable for supply planning and supply set-up development with key vendors.
Additionally, the Regional Vendor Planning Manager will be a key participant in the Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning (SIOP) process, where their main responsibility is representing external capacity and supply considerations. This role is critical in ensuring the benefit of our supply chain and the timely delivery of products to our customers. You will support a team size of 8-12 employees.
Your main responsibilities:
• Aligning production and sourcing plans with Grundfos Plants.
• Participating and facilitating medium to high complexity meetings in the SIOP cycle.
• Providing input and recommendations in vendor-related escalations, scenarios, and strategic stock approvals.
• Ensuring high-quality master data within your area of responsibility.
• Driving continuous improvements in regional and global supply chain processes.
• Monitoring and reporting supply chain data for performance analytics.
• Leading and developing a team of employees to achieve business goals.
• Supporting management alignment of supply planning approach towards non-global suppliers.
• Defining future supply planning approaches and process implementations.
As a manager, it is important to assist your team in:
• Managing orders and forecasts for specific vendors at Grundfos locations.
• Planning for the short-, medium-, and long-term capacity of those vendors.
• Overseeing the daily supply chain operations with those vendors.
• Leading/supporting vendor development in supply chain area
Your background
We imagine that you have:
• Several years of experience in supply chain or purchasing.
• Knowledge and experience working with factories, suppliers, and vendors.
• Experience in vendor development
• Proficiency in demand planning, forecasting, and capacity planning.
• Leadership experience, including team development.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Good collaboration and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work as part of a team.
• Excellent analytical skills to interpret and evaluate supply chain situations.
• Familiarity with SAP and other software programs and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to communicate with different levels of staff to resolve supply chain issues.
