The role

 

This role will work closely with the airline community to successfully manage any issues that may impact airline operations due to MAN-TP works. You will ensure a smooth transition of services, minimising operation impacts and act as key contact for associated stakeholders. Accountabilities in this role include:
 
•    Identifying and analysing risks and opportunities associated with the impact of MAN-TP on an airline.
•    Working with individual airlines to create the detailed integrated plan for the management of all risks and opportunities.
•    Working with the Manchester Airport (MA) team to ensure that the appropriate arrangements and resources are in place or planned to support the successful management of the integrated plan identified with each airline.
•    Working with the individual airlines to manage the successful implementation of the plan.
•    Provide constructive challenge to the airline with regard to the implementation of the arrangements needing to be in place to manage the issues associated with MAN-TP.
•    Identifying and communicating airline specific issues to other members of the MA team and coordinate a consolidated response to ensure their successful resolution.
 

What will make you successful in the role?

 

 
This role requires a manager with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders, implement plans to drive performance and confident in making appropriate risk-based decisions. You will need experience and knowledge of managing airport operations as well as managing airline operations and be motivated to build key stakeholder relationships, other skills required for this role include:

 

•    Commercially focused with a demonstrable understanding of the wider commercial environment.
•    Able to balance cost/benefit/risk effectively.
•    Proven inter-personal skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
•    Commercial & financial acumen, with a demonstrable understanding of the wider commercial environment.
•    Confident in decision making, issue resolution and ability to deliver.
•    Proven ability to present a compelling argument through written, numerical & oral presentation. 
•    Demonstrates robust, decisive and sound judgement
•    Motivated to build strong stakeholder relationships with strong influencing and negotiating skills Strong project management skills/knowledge/experience
