As a Senior Buyer in the Assets & Maintenance team, will join a dynamic, fast paced, and inclusive Group Procurement and Contracts team, responsible for activity across Manchester, Stansted, East Midlands Airports and MAG Property.
In this role, you will develop and implement procurement strategies across a diverse portfolio, from navigational aids to baggage systems and security equipment, delivering best practice contract management and driving value for money. You’ll ensure the cost effective and efficient delivery of projects and securing quality suppliers via competitive tendering processes.
Collaboration is key here, projects are often complex and critical to the airport operations, involving multiple stakeholders and suppliers. As a senior member of the team, you will be keen to lead by example, share your knowledge and support the development of others.

You’ll have demonstrable procurement experience in a category and contract management environment. Strong negotiation skills are crucial, with an ability to successfully project manage and deliver key negotiations. You’ll have proven experience of running complex tenders and managing supplier contracts. You’ll also have effective relationship building skills with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
Knowledge of EU procurement methodologies and OJEU legislation would be an advantage but not a necessity.
