The Role

Reporting to the Head of External Engineering, you will play a vital role in ensuring the condition and readiness of our fleet of motor transport assets. Your key responsibilities are as follows:

• Leading in the delivery of planned and reactive maintenance programs.
• Manage internal budgets including the timely production of work order tracking.
• External supplier management.
• Ensuring the readiness, availability and operational effectiveness of the airport's specialist equipment.
• Ensure cost effectiveness in the sourcing, ordering and reception of fuel, repair components, consumables and works.
• Maintain accurate records of all vehicles, plants and machinery.
• Record and analyse maintenance costs and work with Director of Engineering develop asset replacement programs.
• Align maintenance methodology and standards with MAG Asset Management strategy. 
• Monitor works carried out by third parties.

What will make you successful in the role?

To be a success in this position, you will require the following:

• Degree or ONC/HNC in an engineering relevant discipline or appropriate City & Guilds qualification.
• The ability to prioritise and organise time sensitive responses to issues.
• Experience managing and developing teams. 
• A goal orientated approach with a focus on overcoming logistical challenges. 
• Experience working in a commercial organisation and taking into account commercial considerations when making decisions.
• A track record in operating in a similar role in another regulated environment.
