This role will be responsible for developing, managing, and maintaining the Airports Business Continuity and Emergency Plans to ensure compliance with regulations and deliver a safe and effective response to incidents.
The successful candidate will be working closely with the Business Continuity & Resilience Manager to actively promote and increase awareness of resilience with internal and external partners.
Other responsibility include:
• The Airport’s Emergency Preparedness Manager will develop, manage, and maintain the Airport Emergency Plan. Ensure compliance with regulations, deliver an effective emergency response, including all stakeholders, Airport Teams and local authorities.
• Develop, publish, manage and implement an effective exercise programme for the airport, which supports the business continuity management system and meets all regulatory requirements for emergency planning, reducing impact and workload on operational departments where possible.
• Attend external stakeholder meetings and provide input on behalf of the airport, such as the Local Resilience Forum and UKAEPG.
• Support the continuous improvement of the Airports Command & Control structure.
• Carry out debriefs and investigations as required, following an incident or exercise at the Airport. This includes root cause investigation analysis, liaising with all internal and external stakeholders involved in the incident, liaising with regulators, and presenting findings and recommendations to the Manchester Airport Senior Leadership Team and Local Resilience Forum as required.
• Actively promote and increase awareness of business continuity and emergency planning with internal and external partners as relevant. This includes inputting into local safety forums and exploring opportunities for raising the profile of resilience.
• Manage Airport Business Continuity Plans and ensure that appropriate plans are in place for all areas of the operation, reviewed as appropriate and they remain current/readily accessible.
• Provide proactive first line advice on emergency planning and business continuity and liaise and support managers in the development of appropriate processes and procedures, playbooks, and contingency plans.
• Undertake any additional duties as required by the Business Continuity & Resilience Manager.
We are looking for an enthusiastic Emergency Preparedness Manager with the ability to develop strong relationships with our key stakeholders, experience in delivering and developing exercises, knowledge and experience of multi-agency operations and interoperability, Technical skills including proficiency in Microsoft (word, excel, Visio, PowerPoint, Access)
Due to the nature of this role you must have resided in the UK for the past 3 years.
