As Property Development Manager, you will work within MAG property to help deliver development opportunities for MAG with due regard to Group and Joint Venture Partner development projects. You will represent the company in the marketplace, in a professional and quality driven manner, encouraging relationships which might deliver new development opportunities for MAG.
You will work with the MAG property team to evaluate development sites, conduct research and present the information to allow informed decisions to be made, and will have the responsibility for ensuring that all legal agreements attendant to a project are complete and accurate and properly reflect the Company's understanding of the transaction/risk profile.
You will be responsible for the achievement of development project milestones throughout the process, including securing planning and other statutory consents required by the airport, finance, lettings and asset disposals and long-term estate management arrangements for all new developments.
You will manage key internal relationships with senior level counterparts and in external organisations that need to be engaged with – such as public bodies, Local Authorities, our Joint Venture partners, occupiers, planners, consultants etc.
You will have a degree or equivalent qualification and a proven track record of on-site delivery of prime retail and warehousing logistics facilities, industrial sector buildings and mixed use development sectors (with at least 5 years’ experience in all sector specific and development/project management roles). You will have great interpersonal and organisational skills, with an ability to multitask and be able to work on a number of projects at once. You will be commercially aware with a thorough understanding of property contracts and feasibility studies/development appraisals and be capable of setting and managing budgets/forecasts. You will also need to have excellent communication skills and presentation skills, with the ability to challenge constructively.
In this role you will also need to travel and work across the UK as and where required with potential overnight stays.
