The role

Working with other team members and management to ensure that the Baggage System is working correctly and effectively at all times.

• Operate and control the baggage departures and arrivals systems.
• Prioritise system interventions and fault response.
• Proactively monitor systems to anticipate and pre-empt downtime or stoppages.
• Monitor check-in and arrivals passenger areas via CCTV to anticipate potential customer impacts and mitigations.
• Balance and redirect baggage flows as needed to optimise   throughput.
• Allocate and manage arrivals throughput.
• Recover the system from abnormal operations to restore baggage flow.
• Trigger stand up of contingencies in line with HBS procedures.
• Completion of shift log and handovers.
• Proactivity monitor health and safety across the baggage system.
• Support manual interventions in the field as needed.
• Maintain a safe and efficient working environment and control room.
