About the role
The role of a Travel Trade Manager is to develop and maintain relationships with the sales and marketing teams of our airline partners, tour operators, travel agents, international tourist boards, local tourism organisations, corporates, and local businesses in our catchment to drive growth at London Stansted Airport.
You will establish strong relationships with the travel trade, understanding their customers and objectives and work with our marketing team to develop campaigns to drive sales, increase our route network, ensure that all key leisure and business travel agents are fully trained and updated on selling London Stansted Airport and its products.
What will make you successful in this role
The successful candidate will have extensive experience in the travel trade, tourism and marketing industry, strong influencing skills and entrepreneurial approach to work. You must have a strong understanding of the travel industry, booking patterns, developments and innovations.
Other key attributes include:
• Airline or travel trade background with an established contact network in the industry
• Knowledge of airline network and commercial activities
• Ability to convert strategies into executable plans for aviation accounts
• Ability to influence senior level stakeholders (both internally and externally).
• Strong commercial acumen with the ability to influence and become an advocate across multiple business divisions and airports.
