To assist with the provision of the day to day Hangar Restaurant activities, working to a high quality standard ensuring our customers experience excellent customer service.
To prepare, cook and serve good quality food for customers, ensuring that all tasks associated with food production are performed to MAG Hospitality standards and with regard for food safety regulations.
Ensure the kitchen and product stores are effectively maintained, clean and orderly and in compliance with legislative requirements.
Ensuring optimum delivery of standard operating procedures assisting in delivering the Hangar Restaurant targets by great planning and excellent customer service
Operating hours are 6.00am- 18.00pm subject to seasonal variation.
Hangar is a standalone restaurant within MAG Hospitality, with a turnover of approx. £850,000 per annum. You will work within a small, dedicated team supervising the restaurant along with your colleagues and direct reports. You will be part of the wider MAG Hospitality team where your support will be needed across our other units both landside and airside.

We are looking for a Chef who has/is:
⦁ A solid background in hospitality and service sectors, with a proven track record of high end delivery.
⦁ Undertaken a kitchen role and ready to develop as a Commis Chef.
⦁ Know how to handle and store product to maintain quality and in line with food safety legislation.
⦁ Be able to demonstrate basic food preparation, knife and cooking skills and techniques to produce quality dishes in line with business requirements.
⦁ A team player with an absolute first class approach to customer service
⦁ Recognise and understand the legislative responsibilities and the importance of protecting people’s health, safety and security.
⦁ Experienced in and with demonstrable examples of flexibility across shifts.
⦁ Numerical and written skills, capable of understanding written operating procedures, maintaining stock levels and undertaking stock checks.
⦁ Computer literate on mainstream PC applications including Microsoft office.
⦁ Experience of working on own initiative, capable of building solid and beneficial relationships both internally and externally.
