As a key member of the Technology Delivery Projects Leadership Team you’ll be responsible for delivering projects/work packages across our 3 airports at Manchester, London Stansted, and East Midlands, in response to business needs. There will be an expectation that you’ll be flexible across Strategic Change Projects, Airport Asset Projects and Technology Projects. You’ll oversee the delivery of projects to agreed schedule, commercial and quality constraints, by effective planning, tracking, and reporting of projects and budgets. You’ll mitigate risk and resolve issues to ensure successful delivery of projects and programmes. As a Senior Project Manager you will also be responsible for line managing and mentoring the Project Managers who are supporting the delivery, from inception to closure, of Technology projects or work packages. You’ll be responsible for developing personal development plans with your direct reports and ensuring there is a good understanding of the career families to promote progression.
You’ll be an experienced senior project manager with experience of working to, or certification in, PRINCE2 and/or APM. You’ll have worked within an airport or a large change/transformation environment and have previously delivered IT infrastructure and/or application software enabled projects, have experience of financial planning & management as well as the ability to communicate clearly and with impact at all levels of the organisation. You’ll have previous line management experience with a history of managing a small team, accountable for their performance & development.
