We are looking for: 

We are looking for a Quality Configuration Control Engineer to join our Wrexham site in England.

 

  • You will focus on management of the specification review process as well as the associated change management and PCD/IQD management processes at the Composite sites. This includes developing and maintaining site trackers and performance metrics of these processes. 
  • You will be part of a global project team to develop a robust Specification Review/PCD/IQD management process as well as the associated Management of Change processes. This will include development and implementation of standardized global specification review and PCD management processes including tools to streamline the process. These processes will be deployed across all of the Syensqo Composites Materials manufacturing sites. These positions will be regional in nature servicing multiple sites. 
  • You will improve Customer Satisfaction levels, reduce cost of poor quality and minimize quality risks that could result in lost revenue, high consequence quality escapes or negative impact to Syensqo reputation. 
  • You will report to the Global Quality Special Projects Manager initially and will be transitioning to a site/regional reporting structure within 2 years. You will be a part of the Specification Review Process project team who has overall responsibility for the project strategy and execution across the entirety of the Composites GBU.

  • Collaborate with Site Engineering, Customer Engineering and Account Management in the management of the specification, change management and PCD/IQD management.
  • Interact with customers for specification and PCD/IQD reviews.
  • Provide project management leadership to drive these improvement efforts and communicate as required both internally (Syensqo) and to Customers.
  • Provide leadership and oversight of specification and configuration management to ensure timely review and implementation of specification revisions.
  • Collaborate with Customer and GBU personnel to assess and manage changes that could negatively impact quality risk levels; demonstrate a “Quality as a Value” mindset & behavior.
  • Actively lead and participate in quality risk assessments and audits.  Ensure timely, effective address of findings.
  • Publish program quality scorecard metrics as applicable. 
  • Improve customer intimacy and satisfaction.
  • Improve specification review metrics.
  • Improve management of change. 
  • Improve PCD/IQD management process.

You will bring: 

  • BS in Engineering.
  • Prior experience managing customer relationships.
  • Working knowledge of Composite/Adhesives
  • Preferred - Working knowledge of AS-9100 Rev D and/or ISO-9001:2015 Quality Management systems or similarly highly regulated industry.
  • Preferred - Familiarity of NADCAP certification process (National Aerospace and Defense Contractors Accreditation Program) or IATF-16949 Automotive Quality Management System Standard (International Automotive Task Force).
  • Experience in Quality Engineering.
  • Possess strong, pro-active leadership and project management skills to achieve results.
  • Good personnel engagement skills.
  • Good oral and written communication skills – concise presentation, easy to read and understand standards and technical documents.
  • Working knowledge of DMAIC problem solving including 8D and FMEA methods. 
  • Demonstrated experience in data analysis – statistical and inductive/deductive reasoning. 
  • Knowledge of Six Sigma tools – both lean and technical – including value stream mapping, 5S, process control and Measurement System Analysis or Gauge R&R.
  • Good computer skills including Google docs, MS Office, Statistical software (SAS, Minitab, JMP, etc.).
  • Is customer obsessed.
