We are looking for:
Training and Development Coordinator is responsible to coordinate the training that takes place, primarily among operational employees, within the site or Division.
Principal functions: the Training and Development Coordinator will perform the following:
We count on you for:
Assesses training needs (by Department and by person)
Aligns resources to ensure training is accomplished
Presents of training topics to all levels within the organization
Assist department management in defining positions relative to the tasks, skills and knowledge required for each; helps to standardize positions and position progressions within positions
Identifies for purchase or develops appropriate training curricula for initiative-based training, ensuring that training is appropriate to the training audience and is specifically geared toward audience needs
Assists in the development of Quality System documentation (primarily operating procedures) that are used for employee training; ensures that such documents are structured appropriately to facilitate training when written by others
Assesses the availability of outside training and funding sources; coordinates the effort to secure funds (e.g., from state employment development agencies) and coordinates the execution of programs pursuant to such funding (such as ETP within California)
Develops the training skills both supervisory and lead personnel to facilitate the training function; provides “train-the-trainer” type instruction, coaching, and training in how to organize the Department training structure
Manages and maintains all Training documentation requirements.
You will bring:
Should have education equivalent to a BS in one of the following areas: human resource development, communications, English, Education or a scientific or engineering discipline. Broad-based experience with the operational functions of a plant may substitute for formal education.
Communication skills are essential: must be a poised, confident and engaging presenter of a wide variety of topics, both around operational tasks and “soft skills,” as training needs dictate. Must be able to project a passion around all subject matter that stresses the importance of the information presented.
Written skills are essential: must be able to capably write a variety of training support documentation, including training class books, operating procedures, course syllabus, outlines, written tests/assessments and any other documents necessary for training. Must be able to write under intense deadline pressure.
MS Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint proficiency, able to create engaging visual presentation materials to support training
Must be able to capture concepts (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean, leadership skills, etc.) and be able to convert concepts into training products for use by all organizational levels
Must possess an understanding of and embrace CEM’s Quality, Safety and other policies, practice and promote the Cyte Values, and all other initiatives
Must be able to teach concepts and facilitate the use of those concepts, through demonstration and development of leadership to facilitate. Must be passionate about creating a “teaching organization” within the plant.
You will get:
The U.S. base salary range reasonably expected to be paid for this position is $80,560 to $100,700 per year.
Since actual compensation packages are based on a variety of factors unique to each candidate we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted base salary range.
Total compensation for this role also includes bonus and/or other incentives.
16, or more, weeks of maternity/paternity and co-parenting leave, according to local regulations.
